Our Team
We are developing a core group of volunteers through faith-based congregations and existing homeless organizations. The key to any successful non-profit is the human resources that can implement the financial resources dedicated to the ministry. The Blind Eye Project will work diligently to find and train these volunteers for each of our outreaches. Please contact us if you feel lead to volunteer.
Our History
The ministry was birthed from a deep desire to continue the mission that the Founder and his son Joshua begin on the streets of Austin. Joshua left this world too soon after losing the battle of addiction to a tragic heroin overdose. During the two and one half years he was sober and prior to his death, he had a “Heart for the Helpless” and the desire to ease the burden of a homeless person even if it was temporary. His legacy continues today.
Our Mission
To partner with the private sector and faith-based communities to provide real change to those who are homeless by reaching them where they live with showers, restrooms, and basic necessities. We will expand our outreach to include giving emotional support for the sick and dying, comfort to the elderly who live in nursing homes or assisted living centers, and hope to those incarcerated.
